Search Engine Sandpit

Published by htlewis at 7:23 pm under 1 Edit This

I have thus far covered some of the basics of Search Engine Optimization, but what I have not covered is one of the main frustrations of SEO - the dreaded sandpit.

The secret of the sandpit is to be patient.

The sandpit is the name given to the time when your site is recognised by Google etc but is not actually listed on their results.

There are several reasons why search engines use the sandpit. basically its a spam filter, to stop spam sites from indexing with them.

The way to get around this is to post regualrly and to wait…. it might last a few weeks but regular posting will dig you out.

Of course to get into the sandpit you need to list your site with Google etc. the best place to rank your site is:

http://www.google.com/addurl
